A Bit About Me
Born in Philly and raised outside of Seattle, Alexis was brought up watching Flyers hockey (sorry Bruins fans). Tiny 4-year-old Lexi went to Flyers games with her dad, hyped up on rink French fries and proudly wearing her Snow jersey.
Lexi went to high school in Sammamish, WA. She earned black belts in Chon Tu Kwan Combat Hapkido and Shudokan Karate-do. She earned a varsity letter in Cheerleading at the University of Pennsylvania and moved to Providence, RI after graduation in 2012. Nearing her 30th birthday, Alexis YOLOed and decided it was time to learn to play the sport she’d been watching her whole life.
Alexis now plays regularly in local co-ed novice leagues in Pawtucket and Woonsocket, and drives out to Burrillville for the Valkyrie Friday Night Skate. She is thrilled to join the Valkyrie Initiative team as Fundraising Coordinator! Outside of hockey, Alexis works as a Foundation Relations/Grants an officer for Bradley Hospital and Hasbro Children’s Hospital. In her free time, she enjoys sewing her wardrobe, playing video games, and hanging out with her two cats, Rupert and Xena.
